Photos [Mar. 4th, 2006|07:44 pm]
We haven't got the ones from the photograhper yet, and haven't sent the disoable camers off yet. Might do that Monday.

Edited to say I''ve created a photobox group for these albums.

http://www.photobox.co.uk/shared/group.html?c_album=2661855

I think anyone else with a photobox account can add their own albums to it.

If anyone is wondering why photobox rather than photobucket, it's because I'm using this for the prints.

Wedding day at last! [Feb. 24th, 2006|08:03 am]
[mood | excited]

There's a dusting of snow outside on the cars and bushes (none on the road) and I don't care... I've passed into "just roll with it" mode.

Alex is at Scott's house. Got there about an hour later than we intended after setting up the arch (thanks so much for the help Stacey and Tom) and eating at Dragon Phoenix with Stacey. Tom, Dave, Ellie and Lego Boy Patrick.

Information and links [Feb. 23rd, 2006|01:25 pm]
[mood | happy]

We've dated this entry for the day before the wedding so it will stay at the top of this journal, just let us know if it's bugging anyone.

We've noticed only a few of the people who have the info about this site actually comment on our entries. Thinking that this may be caused by people being unfamilliar with LiveJournal, we decided to type up how to comment anaonymously. Or you can go to http://www.livejournal.com and set up a free account just to comment (like Stacy M did).

If you haven't commented before, feel free to do so on this post so we know there is life out there(or a reasonable aproximation)!

Commenting on LiveJournal if you do not have an account

* Click on post comment at the bottom right of the entry
* Select Anonymous
* Enter a subject (optional)
* Type your comment in the Message box (with your name so we know who said what)
* Click on Post Comment

Also the link below is a shortcut to the memories ection of the AlexJenniWed journal where we have categorized various informational posts to help our guests (i.e. hotel info, places to see, flights, etc.)

Shakespeare? [Feb. 19th, 2006|05:26 pm]
[mood | relieved]

We haven't orgnaized a trip for this, but my mother mentioned it earlier so I thought I'd post it here.

Anyone wishing to visit Stratford Upon Avon while in Coventry for the wedding - it appears that National Express does run a coach service from Coventry Pool Meadow station (across from the Britannia Hotel) to there. Keep in mind that if you are going on Wednesday that the reservations for the hen night have been made for 7 pm so you would need to be back before then if you are going to that.

The website for National Express is http://www.nationalexpress.co.uk

We don't mind [Feb. 10th, 2006|05:58 pm]
Just to make it clear that we won't be offended if people unfriend this journal, we understand people have better things to do than read about our wedding plans.

Edited to make it sound a little friendlier.

What to wear? [Jan. 23rd, 2006|02:46 pm]
For those of you wondering what to wear, the wedding is semi-formal in keeping with our personalities. Men should wear suits or sportcoats, or perhaps a nice shirt and tie with dress slacks. Women should wear nice dresses or pantsuits. As much as you may want to look like Andie MacDowell in Four Weddings and a Funeral, for the most part none of the ladies will be wearing hats.

The reception is all about our families and friends mixing and having a good time celebrating our wedding. The Wedding Breakfast is actually a carvery/buffet and the party will last til about midnight, with a DJ from 7 pm onwards.

Alex, our dads and the Best Man and Usher are wearing nice normal suits not tuxedos or tails or anything. My dress is fairly simple, with only a very short train. I'm not wearing a veil. So if anyone were to wear a tux or an evening dress they would be more formally dressed than the wedding party!

Hope this clears things up!

If you are having difficulties... [Jan. 23rd, 2006|11:15 am]
purchasing something from our registry lists from the US, please be aware that the UK doesn't generally put dashes or spaces in when filling out a phone number.

If you are entering your phone number for billing purposes you would put 001xxxxxxxxxx. 00 is the code to dial internationally from the UK and 1 represents the United States, then just the rest of your phone number with area code.

Hope this helps!

Jenni & Alex

PS - For those of you purchasing items in person you can purchase items from our lists at any Argos or Debenhams, not just "the big ones". Keep in mind that a small Debenham's may not carry certain items.

Confetti [Jan. 19th, 2006|10:51 am]
The church allows confetti outside, so bring it on! We're hoping for a great shot of that (and not a mouthful of paper bits like I got as a bridesmaid in Kristie & AJ's wedding when the wind shifted slightly).

Warwick Catle [Jan. 15th, 2006|09:13 pm]
Some wedding guests from the US have expressed an interest in seeing castles. There are two decent ones near Coventry, Warwick and Kenilworth. Kenilworth is ruins. Warwick is run by Madamme Tussaurds wax works.

Warwick is expensive but I can get a %25 discount through work. To get this I need to book tickets at least five days in advance. So anyone wanting to see Warwick castle let me know.
